Job Opportunity: 24hr Day Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgical Center (RN OR)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Specialty: Registered Nurse, Operating Room (RN OR)
• Required Experience: OR experience required (minimum 1 year implied by specialty requirement)

Work Schedule

• 24-hour days, working 3 shifts of 8 hours each (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Credentials & Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Required (AHA preferred)
• Professional Nursing License: Must be valid and verified (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• N95 Fit Test: Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
• Immunizations & Health Requirements:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if >6 month break
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred
  • Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required
• Criminal Background Checks:

  • Massachusetts CORI check within 45 days prior to start date
  • National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days of start date and annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists) within 30 days of start date and annually
• Education Verification: Required to verify highest level of education
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in skillset

Additional Requirements

• Must complete specific hospital system orientation and attestation
• Must pass medication exam specific to the hospital system
• Must submit a detailed resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
• Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for extensions
