Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary Labor & Delivery (L&D) night shift assignment. The facility is a Joint Commission accredited community hospital with a strong reputation for patient satisfaction and comprehensive maternity services, including specialized operating rooms for Cesarean births and 24/7 anesthesia availability. The nursing team works closely with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to provide individualized care.

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience (required)
• Post Partum / Mother Baby experience (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (required)

Licenses & Certifications

• Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Active STABLE certification (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)

Additional Requirements

• Must have a permanent address included with profile
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• At least two specific interview dates/times of availability must be provided (generic availability like "anytime" is not accepted)
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; all RTO must be submitted and approved at time of application—no changes after offer
• Work history and skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby (current within 1 year) required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

• Orientation is 8 hours, non-billable

This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses with strong postpartum and mother-baby care skills, who hold the required certifications and are comfortable working night shifts in a community hospital setting.
