Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)

- Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, Day/Night rotating shifts
- Work Pattern: Every other weekend and holidays
- Start Date: April 12, 2026 (only candidates with last names A-L should apply for this start date)
Required Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of RN experience
- Minimum 1+ year of travel experience in Emergency Room and Level 1 trauma required
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- License: Valid RN license in Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted)
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA preferred)
- Current N95 Fit Test (within 365 days)
- MGB Medication Exam (80% passing within 365 days)
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15) with no exemptions
- TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days
- Strongly preferred Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity documentation
- Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years
- Background Checks & Verifications:
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
- SSN trace and national sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
- Additional Requirements:
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor)
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form upon acceptance
Notes
- Prior travel experience is explicitly required (minimum 1 year travel experience in ER and Level 1 trauma).
- Candidates must meet all immunization and health screening requirements prior to start.
- This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with prior travel experience looking for a rotating day/night schedule in a Level 1 trauma center environment.
