Description

Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Fishersville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Fast-paced inpatient surgical unit
Patient population includes pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above (depending on procedure)
Surgical specialties: general surgery, abdominal, urological, orthopedic, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine, bariatric surgery
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Block scheduling not guaranteed but grouping shifts may be possible
Locals not accepted
Holiday work required depending on number of holidays during assignment

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Experience in Orthopedic Surgery
Experience in Urological Surgery
Experience in Bariatric Surgery
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Information

Pending licenses are not accepted
Local radius rule: 50 miles
Return to work (RTO) policy: Holiday work expectations vary based on number of holidays during assignment
Orientation and facility-specific documents must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
Prior travel experience: Not required
