Job Opportunity: Endoscopy RN

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Dayshift (7:15 AM - 3:45 PM)
• Unit Description:

  • Endoscopy unit with 7 procedure rooms (4 MAC, 3 Conscious Sedation)
  • Holding and recovery rooms
  • Open weekdays with on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Patient Population: Diverse
• Bed Count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms
• Daily Census: 60-70 procedures
• Clinician to Patient Ratio:

  • 1:1 in procedure rooms
  • 1:2-3 in PACU
• EMR System: EPIC
• Floating: Not required
• Rotating Shifts: May be required depending on hours (department open 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with Endoscopy experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• GI Technician Endoscopy experience
• Proficient in Olympus scope set-up

Additional Requirements

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date (no exemptions)
• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunity or vaccination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (no exemptions)
  • TB test within 3 months of start date
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
  • Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years
• Passing scores on medication and dysrhythmia exams within 1 year
• Criminal background checks, CORI, SSN trace, sex offender check, and exclusion checks as required
• Submission of 7 years of work history and 2 professional references (minimum 1 supervisor)
• Completion of skills checklist within 1 year
• Physician health statement within 1 year

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• No floating required, but rotating shifts may be necessary depending on department needs.
• On-site parking is available.
