Description
Job Opportunity: Endoscopy RN
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Dayshift (7:15 AM - 3:45 PM)
- Unit Description:
- Endoscopy unit with 7 procedure rooms (4 MAC, 3 Conscious Sedation)
- Holding and recovery rooms included
- Open weekdays with on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Patient Population: Diverse
- Patient Ratio:
- 1:1 in procedure rooms
- 1:2-3 in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Bed Count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms
- Daily Volume: 60-70 procedures per day
- EMR System: EPIC
- Floating: Not required
- Shift Rotation: May be required depending on hours; department open 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience as a GI Technician in Endoscopy
- Proficient in Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing
