Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Potsdam, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Friday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Sunday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• No overnight shifts required (overnight covered by a tech covering both CT and X-Ray)
• No call
• No holidays

Job Description

• Primarily CT imaging with some general X-ray assistance as needed
• Work in a busy general Radiology Department covering inpatient exams, Emergency Department, and outpatient scheduled/walk-in exams
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma center
• Coverage hours between 7 AM – 11 PM, 7 days a week, including weekend rotations
• EPIC experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Experience with Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department
• Proficient with PACS and preparation/administration of contrast media
• Experience with CT Angiography (Vascular CTA), and imaging of Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Head, Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic, ICU
• Preferred experience with X-Ray procedures including Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal
• Locals not accepted; must live more than 50 miles away
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Licenses & Certifications

• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) license
• New York State Radiology Tech license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience working with adult patients
• Proficient in imaging of Abdomen without and/or with contrast
• Experience with Vascular CT Angiography (CTA)
• Experience imaging Cervical and Lumbar regions

Additional Requirements

• 7-year work history verification
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Two professional references required

Notes

• No prior travel experience required
• Must be able to work weekend rotations
• Facility is strict about expiration dates on health documents; renewals must be completed prior to expiration during the contract to avoid removal from the floor
