Job Opportunity: Surgical Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

  • May work some holidays
  • No weekends regularly, but possibility of some weekend shifts
  • Shift times as per posting
• Orientation: Two 8-hour shifts on the unit
• Floating: Between Main OR and East side of the same building; rare float to West Side surgery center
• Parking: Free, on-site

Job Description

• Circulate in the operating room
• Assist with intubation and extubation
• Patient positioning
• Robotics experience required, specifically with DaVinci XI system
• Assist with ancillary tasks such as cleaning, managing outdates, and supply organization
• Support cases including General Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, Gynecology, minor Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Orthopedics
• Telemetry monitoring present, anesthesiologist monitors patients
• Case types include General, Robotics, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Urology, ENT (sinus, ear tubes, tonsils, thyroids), Plastics, Endovascular, and fistulas
• 1:1 tech to patient ratio
• Scrub color provided (procedural)

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
• Skills:

  • Circulating in OR
  • Assisting with intubation/extubation and patient positioning
  • Robotics experience with DaVinci XI is a must
  • Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties including ENT, Endovascular, minor vascular, and robotics

Additional Information

• First-time travelers considered upon review
• No more than 4 days of Return to Office (RTO) will be approved
• Support includes charge nurse Monday through Friday; no charge nurse on weekends or holidays
• Technology used includes EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system

This role is ideal for experienced OR RNs with strong robotics skills and a broad surgical background looking for a contract position with a structured schedule and no call requirements.
