Description
Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) for Telemetry Unit, Night shifts and Every Other Weekend (EOW), 36 hours per week
- Unit: 32-bed Orthopedic/Neuro Med/Surg unit with medical overflow patients
- Patient Population: Scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, neuro patients, and other medical overflow patients
- Floating: Required to float to applicable units as needed
- Shift Rotation:
- Night positions do not rotate
- Day rotators may be rotated between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts with low rotation frequency
- Clinician to Patient Ratio:
- Day and evening shifts: 1:4 (may go up to 1:5)
- Night shift: 1:5 or 1:6
- Charting System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including 2 years of telemetry experience
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
