Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide care for laboring, pre-term, postpartum OB patients and newborns.
  • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
  • Conduct neonatal resuscitation.
  • Utilize equipment including EPIC documentation system, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, and GE Corometric fetal monitoring.

Schedule

  • Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
  • No floating to other units.
  • Orientation: Mandatory 7-day program (Week 1: Mon-Fri, Week 2: Mon-Tues, 8-hour days).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NRP certification

Additional Information

  • Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs.
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio and unit bed size are unspecified.
  • No mention of prior travel experience requirement.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses seeking a travel assignment with a structured orientation and a focus on comprehensive OB patient care.
