Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide care for laboring, pre-term, postpartum OB patients and newborns.
- Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Conduct neonatal resuscitation.
- Utilize equipment including EPIC documentation system, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, and GE Corometric fetal monitoring.
Schedule
- Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
- No floating to other units.
- Orientation: Mandatory 7-day program (Week 1: Mon-Fri, Week 2: Mon-Tues, 8-hour days).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP certification
Additional Information
- Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio and unit bed size are unspecified.
- No mention of prior travel experience requirement.
