Job Opportunity: Technologist - Cath Lab
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and/or electrophysiology studies.
- Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to maximize team capabilities.
- Collaborate with intra-procedure teams to ensure safe patient care.
- Participate consistently in Universal Protocol and site marking identification when applicable.
- Assist with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup for routine procedures.
- Interpret physicians’ orders/protocols and communicate with physicians as needed.
- Select and maintain equipment according to protocols and regulatory standards.
- Calibrate and conduct preventive maintenance on special procedures equipment.
- Train technologists on operation of special procedures equipment to ensure quality care.
- Identify and recommend improvements to work processes and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with developments in cardiovascular technology through continuing education and professional involvement.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements related to cardiovascular technology and cardiac labs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
- Active RCIS or ARRT certification
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Work Schedule & Other Details
- Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
- Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x (details excluded per privacy rules)
- Call-back services apply with minimum hours (details excluded)
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted
