Hospice Care Operations - Contract Position

Job Overview

• Position: Hospice Care Operations (Home-Hospice Care)
• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• Schedule Details:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekend shifts
  • No call responsibilities
  • No holiday work required
  • Option for four 10-hour shifts may be available

Patient Population

• Adults only
• End-of-life patients

Patient Ratios

• 1:1 patient care ratio

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hospice experience (1 year experience may be accepted if combined with EPIC Remote Client experience)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver’s license and insurance

Skills and Experience

• End-of-life care and planning
• Wound assessments
• Care coordination
• Pain and symptom management
• Triage skills
• Experience with EPIC Remote Client preferred
• Familiarity with Sapphire IV pumps

Orientation

• Up to 1 week of orientation, adjusted based on comfort level

Work Environment and Support

• Supported by Registered Nurses (RNs), Resource Nurses, and Case Managers
• Floating assignments may occur anywhere within the specified counties

Dress Code

• Scrubs of any color or business casual attire allowed
