CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Sunday - Wednesday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours per Week: 30
Job Summary
Under supervision, performs CT examinations on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Provides patient care, operates CT equipment, administers contrast materials, and ensures quality and safety standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a formal radiology technology program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience, with experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures and obtaining consent.
- Operate CT scanners proficiently, following protocols and technical standards.
- Administer IV contrast materials, including starting and maintaining IV lines per policy.
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after scans; respond to emergencies including activating Code Blue and performing CPR if needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform quality assurance and maintain accurate records in Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
- Troubleshoot CT equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance.
- Assist and supervise student technologists.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain ARRT licensure and CT certification.
- Take on-call duties on a rotational basis, responding promptly to emergency calls.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to stand for approximately 2 hours per day and sit for extended periods (5+ hours).
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and assist patients, including manipulating patients up to 300 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to start IVs, operate equipment, and handle supplies.
- Ability to hear alarms, conversations, and communication systems clearly.
- Visual acuity to monitor patients and equipment screens.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach as needed during patient care and equipment setup.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to dosing and record keeping.
- Strong memory and reasoning skills to follow policies and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with patients, staff, and physicians.

- Ability to work in stressful situations.
This position requires a dedicated CT Technologist capable of providing high-quality patient care and proficient operation of CT imaging equipment in a fast-paced environment.
