Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), Sunday through Saturday with weekend rotation and some holidays based on operational need.
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Telemetry unit assignment; traveler must pass a Telemetry test prior to start.
• Epic electronic health record experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 90 days prior to start, including SSN trace and nationwide sex offender search.
• Wisconsin BID form and caregiver screening required prior to start.
• Education verification as applicable.
• Physical exam (to meet agency standard, not facility required).
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines.
  • Up-to-date MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer, or approved exemption.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series with positive titer or declination form if declining.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required annually during flu season).
  • Other vaccines or declinations as required by specific departments.
• Drug screening per agency standards.
• Photo for badge must meet facility specifications (passport-style, no headwear except for religious/medical reasons).

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete all required facility-specific forms and attestations, including communicable disease forms and flu exemption forms if applicable.
• References: Two clinical references within the last 3 years are required.
• Employment application and annual skills checklist must be completed.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
