Description
Registered Nurse - Post Partum
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- 36-hour rotating shifts based on department needs (not guaranteed)
- Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Shift times: 7:15 PM – 7:15 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Work every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Post Partum nursing experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Maternal-Newborn nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
- Must comply with all credential verifications and background checks as per state and facility regulations
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
Summary
This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an experienced Post Partum RN willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must hold a valid MA RN license, have current BLS and NRP certifications, and meet all health and background screening requirements. Post Partum experience is mandatory.
