CT Technologist (General Imaging) - Contract Position

Location & Facility

• Burlington, WI
• 123-bed facility
• Level III Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (10-hour shift)
• Schedule: Must be available 7 days a week; 6-week schedule provided 4 weeks in advance
• Weekend rotation: Based on needs (approximately 1 in every 7th weekend on-call)
• Holiday expectation: 1 holiday shift
• On-call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating between CT and X-ray based on department needs
• Orientation: 4 days (includes meeting supervisor and training with CT and X-ray techs)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and general X-rays, including fluoroscopy and portable X-rays
• Patient types: Inpatient and Emergency Department (no outpatient cases during night shift)
• Average scans per day: Approximately 45
• Work independently at night without other support
• Patient ratio: 1:1

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in acute care setting
• First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years acute care experience
• Must be proficient in both CT and general X-ray imaging
• CT skills: IV skills preferred, power injection, experience with GE or Toshiba CT scanners, CTA, trauma and stroke imaging
• X-ray skills: General X-ray, fluoroscopy, experience with Fuji or Canon portable X-ray machines

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification required
• Valid Wisconsin state license required

Equipment & Systems

• EPIC electronic health record system (required)
• McKesson PACS
• GE and Toshiba CT scanners
• Fuji (portable) and Canon X-ray machines

PPE & Safety

• COVID vaccine required
• Adequate PPE provided, including N95 masks and PAPR availability
