Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Newberg, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Facility Overview
- Short Term Acute Care facility
- Level IV Trauma Center
- 60 staffed beds
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: No fee
- Dress code: Any scrub color or business casual
Job Details
- No floating between units
- No on-call required
- Weekend work required (Friday to Sunday)
- No block schedules
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- X-ray experience is a plus
- 48-hour shifts not approved
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- X-ray experience
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9)
- E-Verify attestation required
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Additional state-specific background checks as applicable
- Education verification required
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask testing required annually (travel only)
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or acceptable declinations:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams as required by specialty/unit
- Epic training modules completion required (specific to Providence system)
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Additional Notes
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to nearby facilities
- Passport-style badge photo required prior to start
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only)
- Some state-specific attestations and background checks may apply depending on licensure and facility location
This position offers a structured day shift schedule with weekend work and requires a dedicated CT Tech with relevant radiology/cardiology experience and certifications. The role is based in a Level IV Trauma Center acute care setting with Epic charting. Compliance with comprehensive background, health, and training requirements is mandatory.
