Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor

• Shift: 10-hour Day Shift

Job Description

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 rooms (1 EP/Cath room, 1 Cath Lab).
• Average of 4 cases per day.
• Patient care involves diagnostics and interventional procedures including femoral and radial approaches, IFR, FFR, balloon pumps, pacemakers, AICS, loop recorders, diagnostic EP, and right-sided ablations.
• Part of a 24/7, 365 STEMI Program.
• Team environment requiring strong communication skills and willingness to teach and educate others.
• Floating limited to rooms within the department and the pre-op area.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (RN or Tech).
• Licensure & Certifications:

  • RN: BLS, ACLS
  • RT: BLS, ARRT or RCIS; ACLS preferred
• Skills:

  • RN: Experience with Cath Lab patient types and critical care (ED or ICU).
  • RT/CVT: Cath Lab experience with relevant patient types.
  • Experience with balloon pumps and temporary pacers.

Work Environment & Support

• Supported by receptionist/HUC, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist staff.
• Use of technology and equipment including:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • Hemodynamic system: Maclab (travelers do not monitor cases)
  • IV Pump: Alaris
  • Medication dispensing: Pyxis
  • Contrast: Manifold
  • C-arms: GE
• Scrubs provided; bringing own leads recommended.
• Free parking available.

Scheduling & On-Call

• Weekend rotation is call only.
• On-call hours: 8 am to noon on Saturdays and Sundays for stress tests, TEEs, and cardioversions.
• Holiday call required.
• Request time off approval through manager.
