Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: North Syracuse, New York
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)
Shift: Evening (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40


Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position providing care in a developmental disabilities service setting.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid LPN/LVN license in New York.
  • Minimum of 1 year of LPN/LVN experience, with experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience in Long Term Care settings.

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background checks covering the last 7 years of locations lived, worked, or attended school, including Social Security trace, county searches, nationwide checks, and sex offender registry.
  • Fingerprinting process includes completion of specific consent forms and may be processed internally depending on facility.
  • Medicaid enrollment documentation may be required for certain facilities (not applicable here).

Additional Information

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam is not required for LPNs at this facility.
  • TB questionnaire must be completed and signed by a licensed healthcare provider if there is a history of positive TB test.
  • All health documents should be current within 1 year of assignment start date, except where noted otherwise.
