Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Media, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to float within scope to like units as needed
• Block Scheduling: Accommodated
• Locals Accepted: Yes (within 75 miles)
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• On-call: No

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical Exam or Statement of Good Health (within 1 year, updated annually)
• Fit Mask Test (annual, specific approved masks required)
• Negative TB test (QuantiFERON Gold or T-Spot within 6 months) or chest X-ray if positive
• Immunizations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) with boosters if needed
  • Varicella with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B titer and vaccine series or declination
  • Tdap vaccine recommended every 10 years (not required)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (mask required if exempt)
• 10-Panel Drug Screen (within 45 days of start, updated annually)
• Respirator Clearance (within 1 year, updated annually)

Background & Documentation

• Criminal Background Check (within 6 months, covering last 7 years)
• Employment Application and Skills Checklist required
• Education Verification (diploma, degree, or transcripts)
• References: 3 required (most recent manager, previous manager, peer)
• State-specific clearances for Pennsylvania (Child Abuse Search, Department of Aging Fingerprints, Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results, PATCH Search)
• Driver’s License/State ID (valid, no restrictions)
• E-Verify, SAM/GSA, and OIG checks required and updated monthly

• Return-to-Office restrictions are at manager’s discretion
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required
• National certification primary source verification required prior to start for non-licensed candidates (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RNs comfortable with acute care telemetry patients, dysrhythmia management, and working in a fast-paced hospital environment using Epic EHR.
