Description

Case Manager - Registered Nurse

Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (08:00 - 16:30)
  • No weekends required
  • Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
  • Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
  • Staffing Ratio: 1:35
  • Orientation: 40 hours

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 3 years of case management experience, including acute hospital case management experience within the last year
  • Experience in an acute care setting
  • Proficiency in utilization review
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Case Management Certification

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • N95 fit test within last 6 months (specific approved mask models required)
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (with medical exemption documentation if applicable)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - immune titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed; no declinations accepted
    • Hepatitis B - immune titer with numerical value or signed declination accepted
    • Varicella - immune titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility protocol
  • Annual TB questionnaire for past positives or pending TB tests
  • Drug screen within 30 days prior to start (minimum 9 panel)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions only accepted with signed medical or religious documentation

Background and Documentation

  • Completed Massachusetts Statewide CORI (iCORI) release and clearance required
  • Standard background check within 1 year, including 7-year county searches, nationwide sex offender check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
  • Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search required for all travelers in Massachusetts
  • Compliance checklist, latex allergy questionnaire, personal information forms, and COVID exemption forms (if applicable) must be completed prior to start
  • Badge photo (passport style, head and shoulders, plain background) required two weeks before start
  • Two professional references within the last 3 years required

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Facility does not allow pending background checks at start
  • Onsite N95 fit testing may be allowed on a case-by-case basis
  • Facility requires documentation for all health and compliance items before start date

This position is ideal for experienced acute care case managers with strong clinical and administrative skills, seeking a travel contract in a medical-surgical environment with adult and geriatric patients.
