Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

Specialty: Renal Medicine, Peritoneal Dialysis
Unit Size: 18 beds
Staff:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC, 1 CNA
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC/CNA
Patient Ratios: RN 1:4 to 1:6; CNA 1:9 to 1:18
Equipment: Mobilization and lift equipment, cyclers for peritoneal dialysis, scales
EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Peritoneal dialysis and general dialysis experience
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certified Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse
Experience with Cerner EMR

Work Environment & Expectations

Flexible, compassionate, and adaptable to change
May float to similar units or serve as a sitter if needed
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
Weekend and holiday shifts rotate
Follow hospital policies and procedures

This is a travel assignment requiring specialized renal/peritoneal dialysis nursing skills
