CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: CT Imaging
• Facility size: 800 beds
• Staff per shift:

  • Day: 5 Technologists + Supervisor
  • Evening: 4-5 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
  • Night: 2-3 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
• Equipment used: GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, Medrad Injectors
• EMR systems: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

• Perform all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
• Imaging in emergency department trauma and stroke cases
• Typical procedures include neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and pediatric imaging

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS Certification
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GE equipment
• Invasive CT procedures
• Cardiac imaging
• Venipuncture skills

Work Environment & Schedule

• Dress code: Black scrubs
• Possible weekend shifts
• Potential rotation to other shifts
• On-call requirement: up to 12 hours per month
• Best fit: Team player who can also work independently; self-motivated individual
