Description
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Location: Anna, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays when the unit is closed)
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on medical cases rather than post-surgical.
- Unit includes swing beds for extended rehab stays; no high acuity patients on drips.
- Float assignments may occur within similar Medical-Surgical units but not routinely.
- No on-call or call-back requirements.
- Weekend and holiday work required every other weekend and every other holiday.
Unit Information
- Licensed for 25 beds, typical census 15-18 patients.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio generally 1:5-6, occasionally flexed to 1:6.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Strong general Medical-Surgical nursing skillset.
