Electrophysiology Tech Travel/Contract Job – Greensboro, North Carolina

  • Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
  • Float: Required as needed
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

  • Work in a 9-room lab with 2 active Electrophysiology (EP) labs performing ablations, implants, and left atrial appendage procedures.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team focused on excellent patient outcomes.
  • Experience required with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies.
  • Cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, including experience within the last year.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
    • CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification
  • Experience with:
    • Arrhythmia induction
    • Cardioversion
    • Insertion and programming of automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (AICDs)
    • Left atrial appendage (LAA) procedures
    • Pacemaker insertion
    • Tilt table studies

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required.
  • Social Security Card required for badge processing.
  • Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including aliases, national criminal, federal court, sex offender, and education verification. No open hits allowed.
  • Foreign equivalency evaluation required if education was obtained outside the U.S.
  • Education verification by a third party required for all relevant programs/degrees.
  • Employment application/resume with 7 years of work history required.
  • Verification of employment history for the last 5 years through a third party vendor.
  • Two supervisory references required from clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months).
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start (includes THC, opiates, methadone, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, oxycodone, propoxyphene).
  • Fit mask test (N95 respirators approved: 3M 1860s SMALL, 3M Aura 1870+, Halyard Duckbill Small/Regular) completed within the current calendar year and updated annually.
  • Proof of adult Tdap vaccine required.
  • QFT Gold or TSPOT TB test within 6 months of start; chest x-ray and TB questionnaire as applicable.
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer or declination with boosters)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept 22 – Feb 27).

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Candidate must review and sign:
    • Floating policy for contracted staff
    • Contractor equipment acknowledgment form
    • Dress code policy
    • Affiliate packet (updated annually)
    • Health history form (including documentation of any work restrictions)
  • Badge photo must meet strict guidelines: no selfies, no cropped or filtered photos, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing pose.
  • Fingerprinting required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here).

  • Candidates will receive Workday login credentials and must complete onboarding tasks prior to arrival.
  • Candidates must be aware of compliance deadlines and complete all required documentation on time.
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
