Surgical Services RN

Location

• Dixon, Illinois

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Day shift
• 8 hours per day
• 72 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 1+ years of experience preferred

Schedule and Call

• Self-scheduling
• 1 weeknight of call per week
• 1 weekend of call per month
• Holiday call may be needed
• 20-minute call response time

Unit Details

• 5 operating rooms and 1 cystoscopy room
• Average daily volume: 6–7 cases
• Common cases include general surgery, orthopedics, arthroscopies, podiatry, OB/GYN including cesarean sections, urology, and dental cases
• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• OR techs are available
• Charge nurse does not take an assignment

Orientation and Work Conditions

• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• Orientation includes a preceptor and department educator
• Scrubs are provided
• Drug screen required
• Local rate applies within 50 miles of the facility

Floating

• Floating to PACU or GI is possible but not required
