Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Evansville, Indiana
- Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- 13-week contract
- Day shift, 12 hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week; may accept 48 hours upon request
Required Qualifications
- Current active compact RN license
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
- 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience
- 1 prior travel assignment
- Trauma level II experience
- Recent EPIC experience
- Must pass telemetry tests
Schedule and Assignment Details
- First to float within skillset
- May float to another campus and, less likely, mid-shift cross-campus
- Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
- Every other holiday
- Bi-weekly orientation
Clinical Focus
- High-acuity telemetry and medical-surgical patients
- Cardiac-heavy population, including arrhythmias, CHF, COPD, sepsis, behavioral health/CIWA, post-ablation, and dialysis patients
- Common skills include telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation, drip titration, PIV insertion, chest tube and drain management, CBI, and nephrostomy tube care
Additional Notes
- Clinical interview required
- No local candidates within 40 miles
- Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires
- Scrubs must not have competing health system or agency logos
