MRI Technologist

Location: Langhorne, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Shift: Varied day shifts
Hours per week: 38
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

Responsible for patient safety and performing high-quality MRI studies. The role includes patient communication, troubleshooting imaging equipment, and may involve training new technologists or patient coordinators.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (MR)
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• 1 year of MR experience in high-volume environments
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Operate imaging and related equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and address concerns
• Screen patients for contraindications and maintain patient safety
• Communicate with customers and radiologists as needed
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to support workflow and reduce downtime
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators when needed
