Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia
• 13-week assignment
• Rotating day or night shifts, 4x12 hours
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Clinical review and auto offer

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• Critical Care Float experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
• Infant-Driven Feeding
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric PACU experience

Additional Notes

• Pediatric float pool role
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients is expected
• Infant-Driven Feeding certification is required, but candidates may submit with it pending; there is a stated cost for the course
• Time off may be approved up to 40 hours
• No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
