Description
ICU RN
Overview
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Employment type: LTA
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days, evenings, or nights; every other weekend
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Floating required: Yes, primarily to medical/surgical units
- Rotation: Day positions may rotate between multiple day/night schedules when needed
Specialty Experience
- 2+ years of adult ICU experience
- 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a MICU
- Continuous MICU experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to read telemetry strips
Unit Details
- 20-bed medical/surgical ICU
- Level III trauma center
- Adult patient population
- RN-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2 with high acuity; 1:4 to 1:5 when floated
