Surgical Room Nurse
Job Overview

- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour evening shift

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Experience
- Neuro/ENT cases
- Orthopedic cases
- General surgery cases
Work Setting Details
- Level III Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Magnet Designation
- Primary Stroke Center
- 636 beds
- 21 OR beds
Unit Details
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- EPIC charting system
- Alaris and Pyxis equipment
- Cross-trained to General Main OR specialty and Urology center
- No floating to other hospitals or sites
Orientation and Scheduling
- Orientation lasts 1 to 1.5 weeks
- Variable day start times between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation: N/A
- On-call response time: 30 minutes

- First-time travelers require further approval and evaluation from the hiring supervisor
- Surgical scrubs are provided
- Free parking is available
- Shuttle service is provided to and from the parking structure
- No call rooms available
