PCU

Job Overview

Location: Rochester, New York
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours
Schedule: Every other weekend
Contract length: 13 weeks
Locals: Must live within 75 miles
First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Clinical Setting

Intermediate care / step-down unit
Adult acute care patients
26 beds
Continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry monitoring
Patients may require airway management, acute BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions

Key Skills

Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Rapid Response / Code team support
Peripheral line care and management
Oxygen and non-invasive airway support
Isolation precautions

Additional Notes

EPIC experience is required
Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
