Description
CVOR RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
- Day shift: 5x8s, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Includes weekend and evening call rotation
- One holiday required per contract
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- CVOR (1 year of experience)
- CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience with AAA repair
- Experience with CABG
- Experience with Atrial Septal Defect Repair
- Experience with Cardiomyoplasty
- Experience with femoral cannulation
- Experience with IABP
- Experience with MAZE procedure
- Experience with Mitral Valve replacement
- Experience with Pericardial Window
- Teaching Hospital experience
- Level II Trauma experience
Preferred
- CNOR
Clinical Experience
- Experience with AAA repair, CABG, atrial septal defect repair, cardiomyoplasty, femoral cannulation, IABP, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, LVAD/RVAD
- Experience with lobe resection, mediastinoscopy, thoracotomy, and video-assisted thoracic surgery
Schedule Notes
- Weekend call rotation with staff
- Call rotation with staff
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included in the submission
Compliance / Onboarding
- Driver’s license or state ID required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year background check required
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- State license primary source verification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- 2 clinical references required
