Description

ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel position in Salt Lake City, Utah
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Night shift schedule: straight nights or 50/50

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Utah
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of ICU experience (or 1 year of strong ICU experience)
CVICU (2 years of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
Cardiac nurse experience
ACLS

Unit Details

ICU with 24 beds
Typical patient ratio is 1:2
Higher-acuity assignments may include 1:1 coverage for sitters, IABP, CRRT, and open hearts
Staffing includes 46 staff members
Unit secretary and tech support available during day shift when census is above 10 patients

Clinical Experience

Rapid sequence intubations
Central line placements
Ventilator management
Vasopressor management
Restraint use
Arterial line management
Bronchoscopy
Intubation
Chest tube placement

Scheduling and Floating

Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
May float to PCU or serve as a sitter anywhere in the inpatient hospital
