Allergy/Immunology

Job Overview

• Contract role
• 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• 8-hour day shifts

Schedule

• Monday through Friday schedule with alternating Thursday and Friday coverage every other week
• No weekend rotation
• No call
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be approved
• No holiday expectations

Setting and Patient Population

• Clinic setting with assigned locations and floating to other clinics as needed
• Works with adults and pediatric patients
• Patient mix includes allergy, immunology, asthma/pulmonary, pediatric food allergies, seasonal allergies, and drug allergies
• Average daily census is 16–24 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of clinic experience
• Clinic experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Immunology - Allergy experience

Preferred Experience

• Allergy clinic experience
• IV skills
• Spirometry experience

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and phone triage
• Rooming patients
• Giving injections
• Taking vitals
• Reviewing medication and history
• Completing allergy reviews and allergy questionnaires
• Handling medication refill requests

Work Environment

• Fast-paced clinic
• Flexible and adaptable
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients

Orientation and Support

• 1 week of orientation, with possible additional time based on skillset
• Support includes providers, RNs, front desk staff, manager/supervisor availability, and site leadership
