Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in a Mother Baby Center
- 13-week assignment
- Day or night shifts, 3x12 hours
- Every other weekend required
- May float as needed
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 100-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Post Partum experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Sterile vaginal exam experience
- External fetal monitoring experience
- Internal fetal monitoring experience
- IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration experience
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Pitocin (oxytocin) administration experience
- Epidural anesthesia management and administration experience
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Shift times: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Additional Notes
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling is not available
- RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- No parking fees
- Epic charting system used
