Description
RN Telemetry Float Pool
Overview
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Hours: 36 per week
- Floating: Must be willing to float to 8 different units across med/surg telemetry areas
- Parking: Free on-site parking
Role Details
- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
- Telemetry monitoring includes measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
- Patient mix includes ED border patients, medication nursing in an acute mental health unit, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Ratios: up to 6:1 on nights
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- 2 years or more of total travel experience
- 2 years working as a Traveler
- TR Band experience
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of experience preferred
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- ACLS is optional
- Fit testing is required for onboarding
- Respirator medical clearance attestation is required if fit testing is required for the skill
- MGB Medication Exam and MGB Dysrhythmia Exam are required for onboarding
- MMR documentation or immunity proof is required
- TB screening documentation is required
- Health statement signed by an MD, DO, NP, or PA is required
- Background checks and exclusion checks are required
- References, skills checklist, resume, education verification, SSN trace, and submission coversheet are required for submission
