Telemetry Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Local radius restriction: Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from Saratoga Springs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience managing IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions
- Familiarity with stroke care and management
- Ability to read cardiac rhythms and pass hospital proctored rhythm identification test with >80% accuracy and 100% accuracy on critical rhythms
- Critical drip experience
- CVA experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- Critical drip experience
- CVA experience
- Experience managing IV cardiac medications
- Experience with continuous infusions
- Familiarity with stroke care and management
Work Setting

- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
Housing
- Housing resources may be available
- Housing is expensive in the fall in Saratoga; travelers should review housing before signing
Additional Notes
- Candidates from certain nearby counties are not eligible for new contracts
- Child abuse mandatory reporter training may be required based on nursing education history
- Pre-start onboarding includes required health screening, background checks, and facility testing/document review
