Description
Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location
- Rockford, Illinois
Contract Length
- 15 weeks
Schedule
- Day and evening shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- Start times vary: 0645, 1045, 1445
- May include 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
- Includes weeknight, weekend, and holiday call
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- At least 3 years of operating room nursing experience
- Must provide the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off for submission
- Must pass a negative drug screen
Unit Details
- 15 operating rooms
- Average volume: 25–45 cases per day
- Common cases include general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
- Scrubbing is required for RNs
Call Expectations
- Approximately once per week on weeknights
- Every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Holiday call required
Additional Notes
- Floating is not required
- Scrubs are provided
- Local rate applies within 50 miles of the facility
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- 1 week of unit-specific orientation
