Description
ER Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Rochester, New York
- 13-week assignment
- Day or night shifts: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:00 or 19:00–7:00
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Local RN candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
- Will float within skillset
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs)
- Experience with IV vasopressors
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
- Experience with cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias)
- Experience with emergency care (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma)
- Experience with pediatric spinal cord injury
Unit / Setting
- Adult ER
- Ratios: 1:5
- Adults and geriatrics
- All emergency type diagnoses
- Special equipment includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
