Description

ICU RN

Overview

  • Travel RN role in ICU
  • Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Shift: Nights
  • Unit: ICU (650)
  • Unit has 24 beds
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Utah
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills
  • Experience with rapid sequence intubations
  • Experience with central line placements
  • Experience with arterial line placement

Preferred

  • 1 year strong ICU experience may be considered

Unit Details

  • Patient ratio: 1:2
  • 1:3 for PCU boarders
  • 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases such as IABP, CRRT, and open hearts
  • Floating may include PCU or sitter coverage anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting
  • Scheduling is straight nights or 50/50
  • Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
