Job Opportunity: IMC - RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Brooklyn, New York

Job Summary

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process in patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, implement, evaluate, and coordinate patient care.
• Work with doctors and technicians in preparing patients for and performing interventional cardiac procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing patient assessments focusing on physiological, cognitive, and cultural diversity.
• Provide written patient assessments on admission and as needed.
• Develop individualized, goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to plan and implement interventions.
• Execute nursing interventions following established standards and safety precautions.
• Document nursing care and patient responses; revise care plans accordingly.
• Maintain vigilance to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in hospital and unit performance improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families before procedures and provide post-procedure care.
• Administer medications correctly and document accordingly.
• Perform preventive skin care measures.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or ICU (2 years required).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

Preferred Education

• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Certifications & Licensure

• New York State RN License required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Prior Travel Experience

• Not specified / not required.
