Job Opportunity: RN Perioperative Circulator (Adult Surgery)

Job Summary

The Perioperative Circulator is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. This role requires clinical knowledge, judgment, and reasoning to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients during the perioperative period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room.
  • Continuously evaluate and document all aspects of patient care within the perioperative environment using the nursing process.
  • Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute operating room environment.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) Standards.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care.
  • Some computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 13 weeks (89 days converted to weeks).
