Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary

• Provide respiratory care at a clinically competent to proficient level.
• Care for patients with emergency, acute, and intensive care needs with minimal guidance.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership by contributing to standards of care and department goals.
• Work under the direction of ordering physicians/clinicians, organizational policies, and respiratory care guidelines.
• Serve as a role model and preceptor for new staff, and participate in efforts to enhance respiratory care knowledge.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of respiratory care experience.
• Education:

  • Associate’s degree with a certificate of completion in respiratory care from a respiratory care program, OR
  • Technical diploma from a Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC.
  • Valid license to practice respiratory care in Pennsylvania.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) through NBRC preferred within 24 months from start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Additional Information

• Level 4 Worker classification.
