Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: Brooklyn, New York


Position Summary

  • Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
  • Administer radioactive materials to patients following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
  • Maintain thorough documentation including logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests adhering to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
  • Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
  • Exercise sound judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.

  • 12 weeks

Requirements

  • Licensing & Certification:
    • New York State License (L.R.T) in Radiologic Technology
    • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT (current CT certification required)
    • BLS certification
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of CT experience
  • Education:
    • Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program
