Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
• Verify patient identification and obtain patient history, including pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.
• Obtain and manipulate CT images per protocols, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction.
• Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols, ensuring patient eligibility and safety.
• Manage image transfer and quality control using PACS, EMR, EPIC, and IMPAX systems.
• Maintain accurate charge information and patient demographic data.
• Support workflow by running schedules, handling challenging tasks, and producing quality diagnostic images.
• Review patient charts and reports for correlation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Precept new employees and students.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.

Certifications & Licensure

• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRS).
• Requires advanced certification in CT.
• Registry eligible candidates must provide a diploma from an accredited program.
• Must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status with continuing education annually.
• Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) is required.

Experience

• Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned tasks.
