Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Contract Staffing (Supplier Sourced)
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies.
• Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders and prescribed protocols.
• Maintain thorough documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report any equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines and the ALARA principle.
• Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
• Verify receipt and activity levels of radiopharmaceuticals on delivery day according to policy.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• ARRT certification in CT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Additional Information

• Must exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after CT procedures.
• Adherence to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy in imaging.
