Description

CT Technologist

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 9 weeks


Job Description

  • Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
  • Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies.
  • Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders following prescribed protocols.
  • Complete all required documentation including logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests; follow radiation safety guidelines adhering to the ALARA principle.
  • Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
  • Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries and confirm activity levels before administration.
  • Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New York
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Certified (ARRT Radiography and ARRT CT)
  • Injection Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
