Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols and policies.
• Obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials with active status.
• Troubleshoot equipment and protocol issues as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, exam requests, and image quality.
• Critique, orient, save, and transmit quality-assured images to PACS.
• Document procedure completion or cancellation in RIS and maintain image management equipment.
• Use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively to access and document patient and exam information.
• Verify patient identity and history, including pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation.
• Assess patient condition and determine if additional medical personnel or equipment is needed.
• Assist patients requiring extra attention and respond to emergency situations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year (including 0 years of experience acceptable)
• ARRT Certification in Radiography with maintenance of registry status and continuing education annually
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• Operating Room (OR) experience
