Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex under general supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients
- Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
- Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products
- Communicating care plans with patients and families
- Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegating tasks to support staff
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year (Level 1 experience)
